FAQ

How your money is spent?

100% Transparency

For the purposes of transparency we want you to know how your money will be spent.
The charity trustees take on full financial responsibility for the running costs of the charity, from admin to website development, fund raising and more.
We are doing this purely for the sake of Allah and we will never use your donation for anything except the intended cause.
Even our accountant and website creator have offered their services for free for the sake of Allah.

100% Donation

100% of your donation will be used to benefit communities directly. On the rare occasion that the payment providers deduct a fee for a transaction we will cover this from any gift aid that is received to ensure that not a single penny of your donation is used for anything other helping the needy. Should a time arise that there isn't enough gift aid to cover the fee then we as the trustees will cover this cost ourselves and top up the donation to ensure that 100% of your money goes to those in need.

If you make a donation for of a specific type for example 'a hand pump', then once the work has been completed you will be forwarded images/videos showing the work which has been done.

If you decide to make a monthly donation then you will by the will of Allah gain a share in all our ongoing projects. You will also be eligible to dedicate a handpump to a person of your choosing should you not be able to cover the full costs at one time.

Types of donations we accept.
Sadaqah
Lillah
Zakat
Plus more

We prefer payments via standing orders as there are no fees involved with these payments.

One off payments and re-occuring payments through the site attract fees from the payment providers.

Gift Aid

What is Gift Aid?

Donating through Gift Aid means charities and community amateur sports clubs (CASCs) can claim an extra 25p for every £1 you give. It will not cost you any extra.

What qualifies as Gift Aid?

Your donations will qualify as long as they’re not more than 4 times what you have paid in tax in that tax year (6 April to 5 April).

The tax could have been paid on your income or capital gains.

You must tell the charities you support if you stop paying enough tax.
